The heart of the Linwood Resource Centre is the open community house. From crafts, knitting, games, art or a hot cuppa over a chat, there is something for everyone.
Linwood Resource Centre boasts two large lounge spaces full of sun and room to spend the day completing various projects, chatting with friends or meeting someone new. There are always tea and coffee available for those who want a cuppa. On occasion, there is lunch provided such as soup, sandwiches or a BBQ put on by the Menz Shed. A koha (donation) is always appreciated for these events as the Linwood Resource Centre is not-for-profit and a registered charity.
The house is also available for night hire. Various groups find the house to be the ideal spot to meet for a range of community-based programmes/ events.
For availability, please contact the house coordinator Gaylene Waugh (022 062 0733).
We have regular activities on at the Linwood Resource centre that include knitting, board games/ cards, crafts and a weekly lunch on a Thursday often put on by the Menz Shed.
